Projects to profit

Every authorized project, one financial view.

Finance connects to relevant authorized Core projects—historical, completed, archived, open, and shared—when permissions and reporting period allow. Project master data stays in Core; Finance does not create a parallel project database.

The operational chain

  1. Customer and contract
  2. Project
  3. Work and approved time
  4. Purchasing and incurred costs
  5. Invoices and collections
  6. Approved accounting treatment
  7. Authoritative ledger
  8. Financial statements

Separate measures are preserved for contract value, commitments, actual costs, recognized revenue, billings, collections, retainage, and forecast margin. Payroll import plus project allocation must not double expense; invoice plus recognition must not double revenue.

Projects are a major source of financial information—not the entire company’s books. Corporate overhead, debt, equity, assets, and taxes remain in view.
